Glorious

I had every intention of sleeping in this morning. I really did. But my husband gets up early, and his stirrings woke me. Looking out the east-facing window from under my covers, I could see the beginnings of the sunrise but like I said, I was planning on sleeping in. So I burrowed back into the warmth of the flannel sheets, planning a quick return to the land of my dreams.

I was awoken shortly after by the glow in the bedroom. The window revealed a gorgeous sunrise. And there was no way I was going to sleep through this kind of beauty.

The entire sky was lit from the rising sun, and I was outside in my pajamas and sweater taking photos of it before you could say Jiminy Cricket.

It’s been a long and wonderful weekend that began with good news in my husband's prognosis. (The radiation worked). And this glorious sunrise just tops it off for me.

I don’t even want to think about the upcoming holidays. My mind isn’t there yet and there’s no sense in forcing it. I did do a little online shopping yesterday but my heart just wasn’t in it.

He came outside with me and kept me company.

But it was too chilly to stay outside in just my pajamas and sweater.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday, all ~

I think I’ll get dressed and take a certain someone for a walk.

This morning's sunrise WAS beautiful. I rolled over on the couch (my husband has some sort of sniffling, sneezing disease, and I want no part of it) and two of our cats were silhouetted against the pink and lilac sky. iPad was handy, so I snapped a couple of shots.

What wonderful news about your husband! About Christmas ... it's not even December yet, there is plenty of time to buy gifts and plan other Christmas stuff. Enjoy the sunrise and the company of your favorite guys.

We awoke to 24 degrees outdoors. I wanted to burrow back in too, but dogs to feed made me get up.

Great hearing about the successful radiation. I hope it put a smile on your husband's face from ear to ear as well as yours. :-))

If that ceertai someone is anything like my certain someone, I dare not say the word 'walk' otherwise she is at the door and at the ready.
Glad about your husband's prognosis.
Beautiful sunrise - hope it heralds a long spell of happiness for you both.

Fabulous news about your husband! I slept in until 7 and then played hooky from church...shhhhh...it's a secret -smile-.
Now, I'm playing the rest of the day...it's SO beautiful and after the week I've had, I want to pamper myself.

I didn't get up early enough this morning! Up at 6.30am in the week though so, weather permitting, I should see some nice ones too. The pictures are gorgeous Kate. Still haven't got round to your owls yet!

I saw the sunrise this morning too and it was amazing..the entire sky was pink! Unlike you, I was too lazy to get up and after admiring it out the windows I went back to sleep! Your photos are beautiful and now I don't feel so bad about not going out and taking my own! :)

Such good news.

And I refuse to deal with Christmas until the calendar says December. I still have my fall/Thanksgiving stuff up even if that's mostly due to my being lazy about taking it down...

I did stay under the covers--and then napped again on and off all day. I've had bronchitis ever since we got back from the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving as guests of our son and his family--and the Beach House was a one of the kind! Fireplaces, flat screens in each of the 5 bedrooms, and there were 6 bathrooms! Wow--I'm not used to it--but could get there in a hurry. It was half what it would have been in season, so we were lucky to have our turkey and trimmings there--along with the Nor'easter that kept my son from fishing most of the week...but it was wonderful.
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving with the news of your husband[s treatment doing well!! AWESOME, Kate! Miracles do happen...everyday!
I just did a little online shopping, and got 30% off and free shipping at Land's End--so I got 2 more items off my list. Not much more to go, but we don't do much for Christmas--it's about the grand kids mostly--and they already have more than they can even keep up with! Hubby and I have promised not to get one another anything.
Blessings Kate!

There's nothing quite like the motivation you feel to wake up when the sky looks like that. And, of course when you see such a sweet face as George's too! xo
