Beautiful dreamer

"I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows
Quite overcanopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk-roses and with elgantine."
William Shakespeare

What a truly love verse from Shakespeare. The rose is gorgeous and you can almost smell it's scent.

Yes, roses are certainly in a class by themselves, aren't they? I am always fascinated with the layers of petals.

When I moved back to the country, I considered raising roses. I never realized how many varieties there are and how involved the growing process can be. But I am still quite determined to see what I can do with a few very hardy roses.

I liked your post yesterday about the lettuce you grow! Take care.

I read your comment at Kacey's blog...

I know what you mean about buying actions. I bought the 52 Itty Bitty action set and while I love it, it is a plunk of money to put down. Silly me wants to buy LilyBlue BW actions now. I adore them in people's photos. I've only heard good things about Kabuck's Actions (did I spell that right? LOL) :)
