The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today, January 5, 2009

simple-woman-daybook-small

Outside my window the evening wanes as I write this

I am thinking about going back to work tomorrow

I am thankful for my attitude towards many things in life

From the kitchen wafts the scent of a potato and ham casserole

I am wearing a pair of jeans, a leaf-green camisole, my vintage green sweater

I am creating a list of things to do this week

I am going to try not to let myself feel overcome by my burdens

I am reading today's Baltimore Sun

I am hoping to get a good night's sleep

I am hearing a Damien Rice tune on last.fm

Around the house not a creature is stirring. Not even a mouse

One of my favorite things is waking up on a sunny Saturday morning and enjoying a really good cup of coffee

A few plans for the rest of the week include obligations to keep and rebates to reap

Here is picture thought I am sharing

I began participating in The Simple Woman's Daybook last week despite the fact that the site was closed. If you'd like to participate, please visit the link above, and have a great day, all.

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

I usually do mine on Monday morning, but I like the Sunday evening aspect. Have a great week.

I dread the thought of returning to the work grind tomorrow. It beats the alternative of not having a job to go to, I guess. Just 5 days before we leave on our cruise to the Western Caribbean. I LOVE your new blog header, Kate!

Liked the composition and colors of the photo. Fun to get to know you more through the daybook.

My gosh, I just noticed that you left me a comment way back at the end of November and I had no idea so I never responded! So sorry about that, I am still trying to figure out this creature called blogger and so far it is kicking my rear. I love the picture, I grew up in Maine and treasure the pictures you post of the water and the coast in general.

I have to confess I used one of your answers because it was so perfect. Since I am unable to sleep, I sit and read your thoughts and I find it is a way to know my blogging friends.

I think the Simple Woman's Daybook is a nice idea. I love using writing prompts. Just think how interesting it will be to read back through a year's worth of them.

I like the Day Book idea - it organises the mind.

I'm grateful I've stepped aside from the grind. But I'm a little befuddled as to what to do first. As a result I do nothing but plan for tomorrow.

Fabulous step photo! I love the color and the wonderful chippiness of the paint, as well as the composition.
